Finding Presence and Peace: A Moment of Prayer in Your Healing Journey

Before we delve into the heart of this course on healing, we wanted to pause and share a moment of prayer with you. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to engage not just with your mind and heart, but also with your body in this brief practice.

Grounding Yourself: Connecting Mind, Body, and Spirit

If you feel comfortable, take a moment to place both feet firmly on the floor. Rest your hands gently in your lap and gently straighten your posture. This simple act can help ground you in the present moment.

The Gift of Breath: Releasing Tension and Welcoming Peace

Now, let's take a couple of deep breaths. As you inhale slowly and deeply, become aware of any tension or pain your body might be holding onto – perhaps a heaviness in your legs or a tightness in your neck. Recognize that each breath is ultimately a gift, a reminder of the very breath of God.

As you exhale fully, consciously release whatever tension or heaviness you are holding. Do this a few times, breathing in deeply and breathing out completely.

A Prayer for Presence, Comfort, and Peace

As you continue to breathe, I want to offer a prayer, inviting you to release your burdens to our loving Father:

Heavenly Father, we thank you so much for your unwavering presence in our pain. You are a God intimately acquainted with sorrow, a God who draws near to the brokenhearted.

Holy Spirit, we ask for your presence to surround us, wherever we may be. Help us to be fully present with you in this moment.

Jesus, thank you for your profound empathy. You understand the depths of human feeling, including the pain of losing a loved one. Lord, we ask for your comfort to enfold us, your strength to sustain us, and your peace to settle within us.

Meet us here, Lord, in this very moment.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

As you move forward in this course, may you carry this sense of presence and peace with you, knowing that you are held and supported in your journey toward healing.
